Day 8: Distractions

Scripture:
Colossians 3:1-3 So it comes down to this: since you have been raised with the Anointed One, the Liberating King, set your mind on heaven above. The Anointed is there, seated at God’s right hand. Stay focused on what’s above, not on earthly things, because your old life is dead and gone. Your new life is now hidden, enmeshed with the Anointed who is in God.

Consider:

• We are living in a world full of distractions. What has got your undivided attention lately? Where do you spend much of your time, energy, money or focus?

• What is one thing you need to give up or spend less time with today?

• What does it mean that your old life is dead and gone, and your new life is with God?

Prayer focus:

• Pray for God to give you an undivided heart. 
• Praise God for making you a new person in Christ!
• “Lord, help me to live undistracted today!”
