Rob Tucker
Lead Pastor
Hello! My name is Rob, and I have been the lead pastor of NCC since 2013. I have a passion for communicating God’s word in clear and relevant ways and also helping people find a right relationship with Jesus Christ. I am happily married to Lesa and, together, we enjoy life with our 4 children. In my spare time you will probably find him watching the Boston Celtics or the New England Patriots on TV.
Dustin McCrea
Student Pastor
What’s up! My name is Dustin, and I’m the Student Pastor here at NCC. I was born and raised in Hampton, VA, and moved to EC in the summer of 2019 with my wife Morgan. In my downtime, you can find me playing golf, watching sports, or wandering downtown EC with my wife and our golden retriever Barley. My passion in life and ministry is to make sure every student who walks through the doors of NCSM leaves feeling known, heard, and loved. Want to know more? Mick Wakefield
Worship Pastor
Hey my name is Mick. I was born and raised in Bradford, England where I met the love of my life Nicola. In 2013 we moved to California where we lived with our 3 daughters; Elise, Elaura and Emelia for 10 years. In the summer of 2023 we packed up our home and came to NC where I joined the staff as Worship Pastor.
My passion is to see the church carry a heart of worship into the world around us.

Quinnton Lawson
Kidz Community Director
Hey there! My name is Quinnton (aka Q), and I have the joy of serving as the Kidz Community Director and one of the pastors here at New Community Church. I’m a city boy from Detroit who now calls Elizabeth City home, where my wife Megan and I are raising our kids and loving life in this community. When I’m not at church, you’ll usually find me with my family, coaching, teaching, or dreaming up creative ways to help kids learn about Jesus. My heart in ministry is to create a fun, joyful, and faith-filled environment where kids feel known, cared for, and excited to grow in their relationship with Christ, while partnering with families every step of the way.
