Rob Tucker
Lead Pastor
Hello! My name is Rob, and I have been the lead pastor of NCC since 2013. I have a passion for communicating God’s word in clear and relevant ways, and also helping people find a right relationship with Jesus Christ. I am happily married to Lesa and, together, we enjoy life with our 4 children. In my spare time you will probably find him watching the Boston Celtics or the New England Patriots on TV. If you would like to get in touch with me, just hit the contact button below!

What’s up! My name is Dustin, and I’m the Student Pastor here at NCC. I was born and raised in Hampton, VA, but spent four years in Elizabeth City studying Youth Ministry at Mid-Atlantic Christian University. It was at MACU that I met my wife, Morgan, and started attending New Community. I served in the student ministry while a student, then God called Morgan and I back to Hampton where we ministered for a few years before He called us back to Elizabeth City and New Community Church!
Aside from my faith, my wife, and my Yellow Lab (Charlie), my loves are comics, sports, and Harry Potter, so feel free to strike up a conversation!
I have one main goal in ministry- to make sure every young person who comes through the doors can leave feeling known, heard, and loved, and that they will have the tools needed to become a compelling presence in their community!
I have a few “go-to” passages in scripture, and one that I often find myself going back to is 1 Samuel 16:7- “But the Lord said to Samuel, ‘Do not look at his appearance or his stature because I have rejected him. Humans do not see what the Lord sees, for humans see what is visible, but the Lord sees the heart.”
